Please use the attached form to submit your 2024 Festival Reviewer Requests by March 8th. If you plan to take our upcoming workshop, Portfolio Review Prep Seminar with Mary Virginia Swanson, we encourage you to submit your selections afterwards.

PHOTOGRAPHER’S PDF

We also invite you you to create a PDF of your portfolio for us to share with the 2024 Medium Festival Reviewers. This PDF will be accessible to reviewers before and after the Festival in April. This document should reflect you and your work in the best possible light, using a tight edit of strong photographs, clear, concise statements about your work, and contact information. We will only accept files under 10 MB and 20 pages or less. Please send your completed files to rachel@mediumphoto.org by April 12th.

You are welcome to submit preferences now, or wait until after the Portfolio Review Prep Seminar with Mary Virginia Swanson on February 29th. Please complete all 16 ranked preference fields and include your name at the top in the designated field.

This virtual workshop will empower you to deliver meaningful presentations of your work to reviewers and industry professionals, and give you insights to help make the most of your experience at the Medium Review. OPTIONAL STUDIO VISIT VIDEO DUE APRIL 5

Please consider submitting a 60-second video introduction of you, your studio, or working practice. This is a great opportunity to share aspects of your work with reviewers, photographers and the public through Medium’s YouTube channel. Videos offer additional exposure and a window into your work that isn’t found at the review table. If you're looking for inspiration, take a look at this video by the 2023 Second Sight recipient, Anh-Thuy Nguyen. Please send your video files to info@medumphoto.org by April 5th.

SIZE MATTERS CALL FOR ENTRY

Hoping to showcase your work during the Festival? We've extended the deadline to Friday, February 16th for our call for entry to our annual exhibition, Size Matters. This year's exhibition will be curated by Crista Dix, Executive Director at the Griffin Museum of Photography. Size Matters showcases photographic works under 10”, and both 2D and sculptural works will be considered. Selected artists will have their work exhibited at the Athenaeum Art Center in San Diego. Winners will be awarded cash prizes, including the $1000 Purchase Award, on Saturday, April 27th.

INTRODUCING: PRESENT TENSE ARTIST TALKS

Medium Photo is also pleased to announce our latest program, Present Tense Artist Talks. This event will consist of artist talks hosted by Medium Photo, showcasing the work from four selected photographers. Emerging and established practitioners will have the opportunity to give short, but memorable, presentations about their work. The first iteration of this program will take place on April 27th at 3 PM as part of the 2024 Medium Festival programming, and is free and open to the public. Submit your work for consideration here.
