Songs of Rice and Rivers

with Anh-Thuy Nguyen

Thursday, April 6 at 7:00pm - Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego

I started elementary school, my grandmother (from my mother’s side) left her hometown and moved in with my family. She often sat me down on her lap and told me stories. One of them was about the underground God and his punishments of spoiled children, who never finished their bowl of rice. I vividly remember that story, and will use this as the starting point for my lecture presented in conjunction with receiving the 2023 Second Sight Award.

This is a FREE event. Registration is required to reserve your spot and receive event reminders.

Financial Support for the second sight Lecture is provided by the City of San Diego
